Commercial Acoustic Wall Panels for Contractors

Commercial акустические стеновые панели are usually specified by thickness, panel size, and fire classification, not by finish alone. This guide covers what a fit-out contractor actually needs to confirm — panel dimensions, tested fire scope, packaging, and lead time — before those numbers go into a project spec.

What “Commercial-Grade” Means on a Spec Sheet, Not in Marketing Copy

Product pages describe acoustic wall panels as “commercial-grade” the same way they describe almost anything durable. On a real spec sheet, the term only means something once it’s tied to numbers: a tested fire classification for a specific sample, a panel dimension with a tolerance, a material density, and a documented supplier location. A panel described only as “professional installation quality” with no supporting figures is not something a contractor can put in a submittal package.

For BEIEN’s product lines, that means treating wood slat panels and PET panels as two separate specs, not one interchangeable “acoustic panel” line item — because their tested scope, dimensions, and packaging profiles differ.

Wood Slat vs. PET: Two Different Specs for Two Different Wall Conditions

Contractors often default to whichever panel looks right in a rendering. The construction and the paperwork behind each type is different enough that it should drive the choice instead.

Атрибут Wood Slat Panels (BN series) Акустические панели из ПЭТ
Основной материал MDF slats, density ~760–800 kg/m³ 100% полиэфирное волокно
Surface Wood veneer or decorative laminate Solid color or CNC-cut surface
Backing Polyester-fiber acoustic backing N/A (solid felt board)
    Standard panel sizes 2400 / 2700 / 3000 × 605 mm, 18 or 21 mm thick 1220 × 2420 mm sheet, 9 / 12 / 15 / 24 mm thick
Fire test on file None — SGS report covers only the PET board sample SGS SHFS2403000289FF, EN 13501-1:2018, B-s2,d0
Applicable wall covering CE cert DE/7552 (EN 15102:2007+A1:2011), described as “BEIEN WALL PANEL” Not the tested product under DE/7552
Raw material policy E0-grade MDF N/A

Two things in that table matter more than the rest of the spec: the wood slat family currently has no fire test report of its own, and the PET fire result applies to one tested sample, not the whole PET range. Both are addressed in the fire section below — they’re not disqualifying, but they change what you can write into a fire-safety submittal.

Dimensions and Tolerances You Can Actually Put in a Submittal

For quantity takeoffs and layout drawings, the numbers below are what’s confirmed in BEIEN’s current catalog.

    Wood slat panels (BN series):

    • Lengths: 2400 mm, 2700 mm, or 3000 mm
    • Width: 605 mm
    • Thickness: 18 mm or 21 mm
    • Custom lengths available outside this range on request

    PET acoustic panels:

    • Standard sheet: 1220 × 2420 mm
    • Thickness options: 9 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 24 mm
    • CNC cutting tolerance: ±0.3 mm

One flag worth carrying into the RFQ stage: some BEIEN product pages list the PET sheet as 1220 × 2440 mm instead of 2420 mm. That 20 mm difference is small enough to miss in a takeoff and large enough to throw off a tight layout across dozens of sheets. Confirm the exact figure on the quotation, not the catalog page, before finalizing panel counts.

Fire Performance: What’s Tested, and What Isn’t

This is where a lot of acoustic panel programs get specified on assumptions rather than paperwork, and it’s worth being specific rather than reassuring.

The only fire classification currently backed by a report is EN 13501-1:2018, class B-s2,d0, tested on a 9 mm, 1700 g/m² polyester sound-absorbing board sample (model BN-002) through SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. That result applies to that sample — a 9 mm PET board — and shouldn’t be carried over to the 12, 15, or 24 mm thicknesses, or to any wood slat panel, without a separate report covering those configurations.

Separately, CE Type Examination Certificate DE/7552, issued by CSI S.p.A. under EN 15102:2007+A1:2011, describes a decorative wall covering product listed as “BEIEN WALL PANEL.” Because it’s a wall-covering certificate rather than a fire test, it’s a relevant compliance document for wall installations specifically — but it isn’t a substitute for the fire classification above, and the exact panel model it covers should be confirmed against your project’s panel selection before either document goes into a fire-safety submittal.

По сравнению с акустическая панель programs that advertise a single blanket fire rating across an entire product range regardless of thickness or finish, this narrower scope is less convenient to quote but easier to defend if a building inspector asks for the underlying report — because there’s an actual document behind the number instead of a marketing claim.

If your project specifically requires a fire-rated wood slat assembly, that report doesn’t currently exist for the wood slat line, and it should be requested from the supplier before the wood slat panels are written into a fire-rated wall assembly.

5 Steps to Vet an Acoustic Panel Supplier Before You Spec Their Panels

Ask for the fire test report, not just the classification number. A classification like “B-s2,d0” on its own tells you nothing about which sample, thickness, or panel model was tested. Request the underlying report and match the sample model to the exact product you’re ordering.
Confirm the panel dimensions on the quotation, not the catalog. As noted above, catalog and product-page dimensions can differ by 20 mm on PET sheets. Get written confirmation of the exact size before finalizing quantities.
Check the MOQ for your specific product and finish. BEIEN’s own pages list MOQs of both 50 and 100 panels depending on the page, and this likely varies by finish and customization level. Get it in writing per SKU before you commit to a phased rollout.
Request the certification’s exact scope, not a summary. A CE certificate for a “wall covering” is not automatically valid for a ceiling application, and an FSC chain-of-custody certificate doesn’t cover every finish in a supplier’s catalog. Ask which specific models and materials sit inside the certified scope.
Confirm lead time against your customization level. Standard production lead time is stated at approximately 7–15 working days, but that range depends on order quantity and how much customization (color, size, engraving) the order requires — get a firm date once your spec is locked, not before.

    ЧАСТО ЗАДАВАЕМЫЕ ВОПРОСЫ

Q: Can I use the SGS fire classification for all PET panel thicknesses?

A: No. The B-s2,d0 classification under EN 13501-1:2018 applies to the tested 9 mm sample (model BN-002). Thicker PET panels haven’t been separately tested under this report, so the classification shouldn’t be extended to them without a supplier confirming a matching report.

Q: Does the CE certificate cover ceiling installations?

A: The certificate describes a decorative wall covering product, so its stated scope is wall applications. Confirm directly with the supplier before relying on it for a ceiling submittal.

    Q: What’s the MOQ for a multi-floor commercial order?

A: BEIEN’s published figures range from 50 to 100 panels depending on the page and likely the product line. Request written MOQ confirmation for your specific SKU before finalizing a phased order.

Q: Is there a fire rating for wood slat acoustic panels?

A: Not currently on file. The only fire test report available applies to a PET panel sample, not the wood slat assembly. If your project requires a rated wood slat product, request test data directly from the supplier before specifying it.

Q: What’s the standard PET sheet size?

A: The catalog lists 1220 × 2420 mm, though some product pages show 1220 × 2440 mm. Confirm the figure on your quotation before finalizing a takeoff.
